Privacy policy
How Followers handles account and church-workspace information.
Draft — complete before publication. Confirm who is responsible for the data and set the retention periods requested below before publication.
Who is responsible
[Confirm the data controller(s) and add their contact details before publishing.] Churches use Followers to manage their church workspace. Followers is operated as a standalone service; it is not a shared LifeOS account.
Information Followers handles
- Your sign-in email and account identifier, and the church workspace and role assigned to your account.
- Church workspace content such as youth-group details, session plans, resources and teaching series that users choose to save.
- Questions submitted through a church’s public question-box link, along with the submission time, follow-up status and a pseudonymous anti-abuse fingerprint. The form does not ask for a name or email. A question may still identify someone if they include identifying details in its text.
Why it is used
Followers uses this information to sign you in, provide the correct church workspace, save and display its planning content, deliver question-box submissions to that church’s leaders, and reduce automated or abusive submissions.
Who can see it
Signed-in members of a church can access that church’s workspace according to their assigned role. Young people who submit a question cannot see the leaders’ question feed. The service operator and its hosting and database providers may process information to operate, secure and support Followers. Followers uses Supabase for sign-in and data storage and Cloudflare to serve the application.
Question-box privacy
The question form does not request a name or email, but it is not a promise of perfect anonymity. Avoid including names or details that identify you or someone else. The church’s leaders can read submitted questions and mark them as followed up.
Retention
[Set the retention period or criteria for account details, church content, and question submissions before publishing.] Church content should be removed when it is no longer needed. Deleting a church permanently deletes its workspace data.
Your choices and rights
You can ask the responsible organisation to provide, correct, restrict or delete personal information, subject to applicable law. Contact the privacy contact listed above. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
